If it hasn’t been disgusting enough to see a country whose citizens forebears (and some living survivors) experienced genocide perpetuating genocide on the Gazan people, its leaders and supporters have cynically cried “antisemitism” whenever their actions have been questioned.

This is dangerous, because it devalues the concept of what constitutes antisemitism and is also a cynical use of the Holocaust – the worst mass murder in history – as a shield for the Israeli States murderous, genocidal actions in Gaza. It is not hyperbole to label it a genocide as Israeli politicians have been blatant in their pronouncements that all Palestinians should be exterminated. Ben Givar, a government minister despite having a conviction for terrorism behind him, has been the most vocal in his desire to see all Gazans dead or at least swept from their land, he cares not where to.

It is terrible that antisemitism has been growing around the World, but the Israeli State can not comprehend (or will not admit) that THEY are causing an unjustified hatred of innocent Jewish people through their unjustifiable actions against the Palestinians. It is not true, as Netanyahu states, that Israel IS the Jewish people. Israel is a nation State. It can be criticized like any other State. Crying “antisemitism” whenever this happens is a disgusting misuse of the term. All it achieves is to devalue the meaning of the term. It is an affront to ordinary Jewish people, many of whom oppose the Israeli governments policies, to be used in this way by such War Criminals as Netanyahu and Givar, and the rest of their supporters.
